vintage racing

hi all an in-car video from last week's rolex vintage festival in limerock ct, usa.

I am driving my 1955 abarth207a 1100cc spider in group 2 (sports racing cars 1947-1955)

 

The race was 15 laps (about 25 miles - around the 1.53 mile circut).

i started in 19th place out of 28 and finished 11th.

The black car ahead of me is an Aston Martin DB2, the green car is an MG-TD with a supercharger

The video is of the first 4 or so laps, after that the camera shut down for some reason.

About 80,000 spectators came to watch which was amazing to see this kind of a turnout...

hi lior,

I would add roll-bar, but to be honest i think its a shame to punch holes in the aluminum bodywork

its been in this shape for 52 years who am i to make the changes...?

plus it does look much better8)

 

i do realise that if i ever - god help - flip the car, im dead!

 

pls note the israeli flag on the side of the car, even from here im trying to raise the profile of the jewish state:lol:
