טורבו אינו בא לבד... (שאלה)

האם יש אפשרות להתקין ברכב רק את הטורבו עצמו (השבלול) בלבד?

או שחובה להתקין\לשפר יחד איתו גם את צנרת הפליטה, מערכת הזרקה\קררבורטור,

פילטרים למינהם? ומה זה בעצם דאון פייפ..?

על מנת לקבל את האפקט המירבי של שיפור או בעצם לקבל אפקט יעיל בכלל יש לשפר הרבה מכלולים ביניהם גם מה שאמרת אחרת יכול ליהיות שלא תיהיה תועלת , למשל אם לא תשפר את מערכת ההזרקה או הקרבורטור יכול ליהיות שלא יכנס לך מספיק דלק לכמות האוויר "החדשה" שהטורבו מכניס ואז בעצם תקבל אפילו אפקט הפוך , שיגרע כוח מהמנוע ולא יועיל וזו רק דוגמא .

דאון פייפ אם אני לא טועה זה החיבור של הצינורות פליטה שיוצאים מהמנוע כלומר החיבור של הסעפת לצינור אחד או שניים תלוי באוטו .

.Shahaf, you're absolutely right, the exhaust manifold has to be replaced to begin with

 

Or, the downpipe is the first part of the exhaust that comes down from the exhaust side of the turbo and connects it with the exhaust system of the car

 

- Installation of the turbo requires you to do a few things

 

Matching the amount of fuel injected to the motor with the amount of air that the turbo pushes in, as we all know, the motor is running on a certain mixture of air and gasoline, and the turbo will push more air so you need to match the amount of gas going into the motor, that means that either the carburator or the injection will need to be reworked

 

Next will be your ignition control, to begin with, you want to run on the best highest octane of gasoline available, you want to choose the correct heat range and set the right gap of the spark plugs, you may need a control unit to retard the timing

 

The intake piping will need to be modified as well, the pipipng that the car comes with will not work with the turbo, it's just different

 

Changing the entire exhaust system is not necessary but highly recommended, the amount of air/fuel mixture that will burn is going to be higher and a free flowing big bore exhaust will do a much better job releasing it out, making boost rise quicker and push harder, most recommended systems will be no less than 2.5" diameter

 

Depending on the amount of boost that you wish run, you may need to replace the head gasket or drop the compression... most stock motors will handle low boost just fine with no changes, with stock compression of about 9.0:1 or so, 0.4-0.5 Bar should be fine

 

.Those are the basics, and keep in mind that you'll need a stronger clutch as well

That actually depends more on the kind of boost that you push, 0.35-0.45 Bar doesn't make too much power, you will want to upgrade brake pads and things like that, but with most cars, that amount of boost will make 30 HP more at the wheels or so, it's really not that much difference... the biggest thing that you'll need to change is driving habits - with power comes responsability
