Well, this is the third or fourth year they have this gathering.

It's held in Akureyri, about 4-5 hours drive from our capital, just for the fun of a little road trip.

This was my second year, and man does this thing rock although it's HOnDuH infested.

There are few basic things to do there: have fun, meet new people and see some awsome cars.

The main events are: the street drag competition(wich I unfortunately missed ) the car show, spl competition, burnout competition.

Only downside was that I am a week from finishing the stealth, so I couldn't bring it.

 

but on to the pics.

 

First the car show.

 

The guy that painted my car made this car for his dad's company, avesome work and price.

 

Some interior shots. I know it's a bit rice but he was only showing what he could do.

This one followed me the whole trip, I was waiting for him to step on it the whole way.

The guy with the Peugeot is the previous owner of this car.

 

THIS is how trucks are modified in Iceland.

This one just goes on until both tires blow and then puts more rubber on for the next round.

A car built specially to be trashed after the weekend.

 

The end came sooner than he expected. He overheated and blew the radiator.

 

That one was a sleeper, Gigantic ricer wing, fartcan and a hood scoop, but this one was changing gears the whole time, the fingers indicate wich gear he is in.

 

This is what my in-laws let me have for the weekend, due to the fact that my car was unable to attend.

 

The only 3S there. (Hnakki is an Icelandic term for Ricer.)

I must mention that this pic is taken about 2 in the morning, In the summers it never gets dark.

 

The saddes ting about this is the fact that he owns a sweet s-class Mercedes but prefers to drive this.

 

This one was the perfect sleeper a year ago. No body panels matched in color, but this little bugger has a nissan redtop engine, 4wd and a huge turbo. He was roasting the Porsche's all weekend.

the gray car is one of his friends,starting a rwd project and on the other side is a 400hp skyline.

 

Not one of his victims.

 

My frind with the Bmw got into a fight because someone poured gasoline over the licence plate and lit it on fire while it was still on the car, that jerk couldn't walk when the cops picked him up.

 

Overall it was a great weekend and I'm already looking forward to the next one.

Feel free to say what you think, but don't complain to me about the ricecars, I didn't bring them.

גם לנו יש סובארו DL.

 

יש כאן מכוניות כאלה, רק בכמות מעטה עדיין - לרוב אלו רכבי תצוגה שמגיעים למפגשים, כמו הרכבים שהיו במפגש של הפורום - ה-MX3 הכחולה, והמוסטאנג עם הלהבות.

 

יש דברים שהם עדיין לא חוקיים, אבל כנראה שיקבלו אישור בעתיד - לאט לאט.

שימו לב ב BURNOUT COMPETITION המכוניות ריטומות למשאית שם מאחורה והנהג קשור לזה שעומד בצד עם מטף כיבוי. זה בטיחות א' א' !!

וה-DL הזאת נראת מפחידה, שימו לב למושבים שיש לה, וגם היא הנאה אחורית!

זו סובארו עם מנוע 2000 של אימפרזה טורבו.

 

בחו"ל , במספר מקומות, העניין דיי נפוץ, לקחת ממגרש גרוטאות ,מרכב שעבר תאונה, מנוע של אימפרזה טורבו עם כל המכלולים ולהלביש אותו על סובארו לויאל (לאונה).

לא הייתי מתנגד לאחת כזאת, אפילו שזאת DL מסריחה חיצונית ממגרש גרוטאות...

מה בדיוק הבחור עושה עם החבל הכחול שקשור לכל נהג?

אני רק מתאר לעצמי שאם יש צרה וצריך להגיע לנהג בתוך ענן לבן סמיך ומסריח - זה שהוא קשור אליך is not a bad idea

לפי שאיך שזה נראה אולי בעוד מילניה
