Bullet have been offering these cars for a few years now, I believe somewhere between 8-10 years... last I checked a fully assembled rotary miata was something like $50K

 

I always wondered about that chassis though, tube chassis is definitely one of the craziest things you can build... I wonder how much one of those cars will weigh in race trim, meaning no interior, AC, power steering or any of the un-necessary stuff

 

Rotary miatas can be found in the US too, a friend of mine actually has one... V8 miatas can also be found in the US, they are even more common swaps than the rotaries, normally people use the 5.0L Ford off the Mustangs but there are a few LS1 motors of Corvettes too

 

You can find a lot of crazy swaps in miatas, SR20DET from Nissan Silvia (2.0L Turbo), 3.8L Buick supercharged motor, triple rotary and I even saw once a miata that has a nice big RB26DETT off a Nissan Skyline under the hood

Haha... they aren't cheaper.. I was talking about the AUs car's price when I said it's about $50K, look at the dates, big difference between 98 and today

 

The big benefits of the rotary will be the lower center of gravity, the power potential and the distribution with all that power...miatas normally come with perfect weight distribution, but when you add a turbo, intercooler, big radiator and a bunch more things to the front of the car you're throwing it off a little bit
