Meet the Kenwood Excelon KDC-X869 — one of the finest CD receivers made today! This feature-packed workhorse punches out your tunes with a built-in 4-way high power amplifier (22 watts RMS/50 peak) and the precision tone shaping of System Q EX (with its 6 EQ curves, speaker size matching, and 3-band parametric EQ). For additional control over your sound, System E's+ gives you access to adjustable high-pass crossovers for the front and rear speaker and preamp outputs, with a low-pass filter for the subwoofer preamp outputs.

Kenwood kicks digital sound enhancement up a notch with SRS WOW™. You'll get a kick out of the natural 3-dimensional front surround effect, the clear and vivid acoustics of an improved sound stage, and greater depth and fullness of bass not normally achievable with small speakers. Overall, it adds greater depth and dimension to your music, making it sound as real as possible.

The 3D MASK™ motorized, detachable faceplate offers the incredible visuals of a high-resolution fine-dot 3-D multicolor FL display, while the rotary control affords easy adjustment of system functions. The control and display each have multiple adjustment angles, so the ergonomics will be perfect! Power down, and the face motors up to display a plain, black panel; or you can detach the face and take it with you.

The KDC-X869 plays CD-Rs and CD-RWs loaded with MP3 files, and displays ID3 Tag information. Since a single disc can hold over 10 hours of music, you can enjoy endless tunes from a handful of CDs — and Kenwood's folder/file search gives you super-fast access to the track you want!

Want to kick up the entertainment level even more? Connect a Kenwood CD changer, Music Keg digital media player, or SIRIUS Satellite Radio tuner (subscription and antenna also required) — this versatile receiver will control them all! And, as HD Radio becomes available, you can upgrade your AM/FM reception by adding Kenwood's HD Radio tuner. Use the KDC-X869's auxiliary input to listen to the audio from a video game, DVD player, or VCR through your vehicle's sound system.
