WRC ראלי טורקיה - השרשור הרשמי

בעוד כולנו נסערים ממה שקורה בארץ ובמדינה לא רחוקה מכאן אמור להתחיל ראלי במסגרת ה-WRC .

עד לפני מספר שנים טורקיה היתה מדינת עולם שלישי (כמונו) בכל הנוגע לספורט מוטורי , אלא מה ?

שמה הבינו מהר שספורט מוטורי עושה טוב לכלכלה , תיירות וגם לתרבות הנהיגה וכך נוצר מצב שהוקם מסלול חדש ליד איסטנבול שמארח באופן סדיר מזה שנתיים מרוצי אליפות עולם בפורמולה-1 , WTCC , GT וכול מה שתרצו בעצם וגם כמובן סבב ה-WRC הגיע לטורקיה .

בשנה הראשונה היינו שם וראינו את התקלות הרבות ובעיקר המרחקים הגדולים שנאלצנו לנסוע בכדי להגיע לכל סטייג' (דבר שגרם לי אישית לוותר על התענוג לטוס לשם שוב ) אבל המצב משתפר והולך , עד שהגיעה החלטת ה-FIA שבשנה הבאה אין WRC בטורקיה , כמו גם בקפריסין .

 

ולאחר הפתיחה הזו נעבור לראלי של השנה .

מה יהיה לנו כאשר הנקודות בקופה מצטמצמות -

1 - סבסטיאן לואב לא יהיה בגלל השבר ביד - דבר שפותח אופציות , בעיקר לגרונהולם .

2 - סובארו ינסו להציל מעט מהכבוד האבוד .

3 - מרקוס גרונהולם ינסה לזכות מההפקר .

4 - קולין מקריי מחליף את לואב וינסה להפריע לפיני המעופף .

5- סופת גשמים שהרסה חצי מאזור ה-SERVICE ופגעה קשות בציוד של הקבוצות .

6 - פטר סולברג , כחלק מהחזרת הבטחון לחץ הכי חזק בחימום היום , מקריי רביעי .

Im in Antalya for the WRC event 2nd time in 3 years.

 

Weather will be a big factor and rain is expected for the weekend.

I will try to write tommorow to describe the conditions.

 

During the openning ceremony there was no rain and my brother as a typical Israeli got us to the spectator stand without paying.

 

I did not manage to take great pictures because it was too dark.

 

It seems that once again there will not be much spectators which makes it much easier to get to the stages.

אין ספק שהאיסלנדי לוקח את המירוץ ומצמצם את הפער מסבסטיאן.

 

הC4 שתחליף את הזארה, לפי דעתי ממש מדהימה.

 

אני מקווה שהיא תספק את הסחורה כמו הזארה.

הראלי הטורקי החל ברגל שמאל בגלל מזג האויר ממשיך להיפגע .

 

2 הקטעים הראשונים של הבוקר בוטלו בגלל הגשם הרב והראלי החל בעצם רק בקטע השלישי .

מרקוס גרונהולם מנצל את המצב עד הסוף ומנצח בהפרש אדיר של כ-25 שניות לפני פטר סולברג עם היפנית שממזרח לסין ...

קולין מקריי מסיים את הקטע רק במקום החמישי שלפניו קוסטי קטג'מקי והנינג סולברג .

לא פינלנדי אלא פיני...אבל העיקר הכוונה .

מרקוס גרונהולם מוליך בראלי ללא עוררין בתום היום הראשון .

 

הקטע הרביעי בוטל גם הוא שוב , זה היה אמור להיות הקטע הראשון של היום ומשם והלאה זה היה רק מרקוס גרונהולם שמפיק את המקסימום בינתיים מהעדרו של סבסטיאן לואב .

מי שמחזיק בינתיים מעמד זה פטר סולברג בסובארו שממוקם שני .

קולין מקריי נמצא כרגע במקום השביעי , לא משהו ובוודאי לא מה שציפו ממנו וכנראה שההתאקלמות קשה מהצפוי .

אני דווקא חושב שקולין עושה את העבודה מצויין - אין שום סיכוי שהוא ייתן למרקוס לקחת את המקום השביעי ממנו!

We had a long day at the rally leavıng the hotel at 06:30 headıng to stage 1.

We managed to get on tıme and were surprısed to see the low speeds of the cars.

only now we understood that the stage was cancled and that the cars were really slow.

then we went to the servıce area and on our way we dıd one of tommorow stages from ıts end to the start.

Condıtıons were trrıble and htere were parts we could not drıve more than 20 KPH there was no tractıon at all on the mud. I almost lost the car on one corner just mıssıng a rock.

We got to the fırst servıce under heavy raın that dıd not stop for a fool hour.

 

Then we went back to the mountaıns to the flyıng fınısh of stage 5.

On our way to stage 7 we dıd stage 14 of tommorow from end to start. Part of ıt was a better road then the one from the mornnıng but at the end (the begınnıng of tommorow stage) we once agaın surfed on mud wıthout control on were the car ıs goıng.

 

Stage 7 was very nıce wıth lots of spectators and a very sharp rıght corner to vıew. It seemd that the drıvers really struglled.

 

From stage we went to the SSS ın Antalya whıch was a nıght stage wıth some very nıce battles. Gronholm almost stalled hıs car on one of the corners and there was a great battle between the Solberg brothers.

 

Tommorow wıll be our last day at the Rally and we hope to manage to see as much as we seen today.

2nd day of the rally was packed with action.

 

We started by heading to the end of stage 11. this year they built a nice spectator area with a layout that is like inside a stadium where you can stand at point where the cars are going in a route which comes near you several times. The weather was very nice in the mornning and we were afried we will get burned by the sun.

 

Then we headed to the end of stage 12. The spectator area resides in a section with 2 big jumps and a view for hundreeds of meters and i took some nice shots there. after all the WRC cars past rain began to fall but it was not just light rain it was like standing under a shower for half an hour. The JWRC and all the other local cars had a real hard time finishing this stage.

I can only imagine that stage 13 which was a repeat of stage 11 was much harder the 2nd time.

 

Then we went to the service area to see the drivers up close. The rain got lighter when we came down to Kemer and then was totally gon however when we went out to stage 15 we saw dark clouds and lightning in the mountains and in mid point on our way heavy rain begun to stroke us.

Several of the leading cars past us on the way to the stage which was very cool.

This is one of the stages that we went through the day before and with the extra rain conditions were horrible and it was not only mud but also big rocks that fell to the track some of them 50-100 KG.

we stood in a corner on a high rock under an umbrella. The cars picked up rocks and mud into the air and one of them hit a turkish spectator on his leg finishing his fun for the day as he limped away with his friend to a safer place.

The 2 subbaru cars picked up much more mud into the air and I still have a solberg mud signature on my jeans as i write those lines.

 

To end the day we went back into the mountains from kemer to get back to Antalya in the route of the cars which passed us one by one on tier way down. we drove slowly waiting for Solberg but he never came. at the end we saw Hirvonen replacing a wheel and continued to the stadium to see the SSS.

 

Tommorow Ill be back home and will try to upload some photos.
