בניית צנרת אגזוז חדשה

בוקר טוב,

אני מעוניין לבנות צנרת אגזוז חדשה,

בשביל להפטר מהממיר וכאלו...

 

שתי שאלות לי:

1. מאיזה חומר מומלץ לבנות את הצנרת החדשה?

2. אני צריך מקום מומלץ בחום לעשות את זה...

Since it is a turbo car and it sounds like you're building full piping, I'd highly recommend switching all the piping to 2.5" diameter, from as far in the front as you can go and all the way out through a free flowing muffler, if you find it to be too loud you can either add a free flowing resonator in the middle or downsize the tip of the exhaust to 2.25" which will still give you most of the performance but will make it more quiet

You understood me just fine, that is exactly what I meant, 2.5" all the way, and only in case you find it to be too loud and want to reduce some of the exhaust drone you can downsize the tip to a slightly smaller one - 2.25" works great for that purpose and doesn't need to be anything special unless you want it to be visible and shiny and all that... if not, just have the shop taking a piece of 2.25" pipe and flaring it to fit the larger pipe then weld them together and you're done

 

Another thing you need to know is that there are two kinds of bends that exhaust system are built with - crush bends and mandrel bends, when mandrel bend is a bend in the pipe that retains the full piping diameter and crush bend is, well, just like the name implies, crushed to a bend and loses some of the pipe's diameter in the process

For a turbo car's exhaust you want mandrel bends and not crush bends, you can normally buy the bends in seperate and take them to the exhaust shop to cut and weld them according to the angles needed

איפה אפשר לקנות צינורות נירוסטה? , ידוע לי על פרוצדורה שנקראת באנגלית POWDER COATING

 

יעני...ציפוי אבקה ,שאמור לשמור את החום בתוך האגזוז עצמו וגם למנוע החלדה (לא שנירוסטה מחליד), יש מישהו שעושה את זה בארץ?

בתמא טורבו שלי היה לי צנרת 3" לכל האורך , מהדאון פייפ ועד האגזוז שהיה 3" של PIPER, הרעש היה נסבל בהחלט.

Ram - powder coating is more for the looks and prevention of corrosion of parts that aren't normally exposed to the kind of temps that turbo exhaust is, for high temp application you need thermal coating which is great in adding to the price for no good reason..... bottom line it is completely un-necessary

 

 

.Oren, depending on how much boost you're running you would switch to 3", in a 2.0L motor that runs up to a bar 2.5" is more than enough

Moshik that qoute is one of the most non related ones I've seen for a while

... regarding which car? did he have the Lancia on the dyno in Texas? and say they are okay for up to 300HP, wouldn't a larger diameter piping improve them? so not related... I'm really suprised

 

Remember that I happen to have a turbo kit on my car that was designed by Corky bell himself, and I have switched from the so called good for 300HP piping to 2.5" and then - even though the new exhaust was MUCH better - I switched again to 3" piping and again, it was a big improvement
