Hello Thread opener Your pullers will only work if the head is lightly stuck. otherwise the only thing they will pull are the spark plug threads. Assuming you have removed the two bolts that fasten the front cover to the head, you will need a plate similar to the one I made. It needs to be from 6mm mild steel at least, and you will need patience and work slowly and evenly I used my plate to take the head off my saloon in 2012. it was removed previously in 1996. and it was badly .stuck despite using correct levels of coolant. this is because of the reactions of the studs and the head Best of luck Gadi

The symptoms you describe suggest a faulty/worn pressure plate. You can eliminate the cylinders (mashe'evot) by getting an assistant to press the clutch pedal while you check linear movement in the slave Cylinder rod at the Gearbox. I doubt it is air, as air usualy doesnt introduce itself into a sealed system, and when it does the symptoms are different to those described
