Avichai and to the guys and girls in the forum I really do not understand the chriticism which really got out of line. it is true that there are things that went wrong, nothng is perfect, thisis the first time that something like that is taking place. I also have many ideas how things coudl be better and so on, but only Boaz Meiri and his team took it from talks to action, and only for that FIL deserve the credit and I want personally to thank them Yes, I was part of the qualification days, i screwed up on the 2nd day, but i can say the following: 1. the first qualifications were amaturistic, but the people got to the 2nd day were people that know how to drive, at least most of them 2. the poeple that go tto France, most of them are the better drivers that exist in israel. i know persoannly most fo them and they deserve to be there 3. the 10 that were selected, are great drivers. I know ersonally 4 of them and they are indeed great drivers with real talent and some of them with prior expereince so, at the end of the day FIL did a good job selecting the drivers to particpate in Eilat race. may be there are very few people that qualified to be there and they are not, but this is probably becasue they had a bad day, were not focused enough or they had the wrong attitude for racing as I said there are many things to do better. timing, scheduling, quality of the qualification day (the 1st one) and so on. however, this is the first national level event of motor racing that got support of the officials and goverment which is a good change and to crack the beaucracy hard headed people is something to admire. Avichai, Boaz and the rest of the FIL team. good luck with the race in Eilat, and thank you for doing the impossible and also to give the opportunity to all of us to be part of it. At least i will try to challenge again next year after becoming a little more focused and may be to become a better driver for next year Avichai, i suggest you to consider to have a forum of people here for planning the next year event once you will complete the event on mid dec. i am sure you guys will be able to see that there are positive people here that can contribute to the positive evolution for FIL for he years to come

I must say something here 1. the whole thing looked and felt like a happening 2. it indeed did not meet the expectations created 3. however, those tests were good enough to select the 10% of the drivers that have a better chance to continue 4. even though it is not perfect and this is why there is also the 2nd day of qualifications I must say that they have done what they needed to do in order to make the first selection. It coudl be better? for sure and I think that Avihai was the first to admit it and this is a brave thing to do. I also heard that BBM orgenizers said the same thing. from my perspective FIL failed in the expectations for all of us. I also expected something more and in that respect as well as the mess during the qualification day could be significantly better. However, we all need to remeber that the actual stations were managed by Alternativi which some of them were good and some of them were poor. FIL, i personally think you did a great thing here and thank you for that. I encourage you and support for your activities in the future as it will help to build up the Israeli motorosports scene. I wish you best of luck and success in the venture you are making the efforts for!

To Forumal Israel I was yesterday, day 3 of the qualifications. few observations 1. stations that were suppose to be there according to the publications were selective. 2. some groups did not do some of the stations and others did not do other stations. so a equal basis of comparison is not possible, at least, I can not do it and i wonder if there is someone who can 3. the organization seems to be much better than day 1, but the long wait (i waited for 2h for the gymkana) is something to imporve significantly for next time. 4. I saw the clip of Hege magazine, and I agree. However, I think what has being organized there is ok in order to have the 10% that has some chance to go to the next steps. It showed that there are a lot of people that do not have a clue in driving and frankly speaking, it is scary to know that some of them have a driving license. so in that respect, yes, the stations there did its job properly. may be they will miss some talented people, but i believe it was the right thing to do 5. Itai (oz?) who was our escort for the group was nice and tried at his most to make things efficient. unfortunately not all was under his control so the long waiting for doing 20-30sec of an activaities is not his fault. In any case, I enjoyed him as the leader of the group i was in, as he was optimistic in his nature, happy, laughing and sense of humor. 6. Karting: I got a fair attitude, but i saw during the day that the operators in the Karting corner could do a better job. as someone wrote here, they are eating while they are working, the cones are not in place, placing some of the cones while kart is moving, i couild not see that someone is looking how people drive and hard for me to believe that there could be any objective grading in how they operated this station. of course there were drivers that have no idea how to ride such a vehicle. By the way,, Formula cars are behaving pretty much as go-karts, so yes it can give a rough idea if the driver has a chance at all to drive a Fornula Renault so, in general it was a nice happening day with the capability to pick up the 10% that might have some talent to go forward. it is not perfect, but it does its job. does it worth the money paid or not. this is individual thing so no meaning to get into this. I liked the most in this event were the leader of our group who was good, effective and funny, the idea of trying to bring as many people as possible and to give us all a chance (yes they made money, and probably a lot of it, but i do not think it is a wrong thing to do), the efforts being done and will be done to have an official race in Israel for the first time (Kol Hakavod) and to learn that there are thousands of people that like motorsports and the potential that it has in Israel. If I passed to phase 2 or not will be clear in few weeks, but it does not matter too much. i think it was according to my expectations and I encourage Formula Israel and its entrprenuers for the nice initiative and good luck to them and to us, whom ever will be chosen to the next rounds

it is indeed very sad to see that people just do not understand that 1ton ++ metal an dplastic while you are drunk it is a killing machine. Having said that there was an article in Calcalist saying that a couple asked poplice officers to check them if the alcohol levels are high or it is in normal levels to drive and those officers refused. they said that they will check them if they will get in the car. meaning that the only incentie for those police officers is to give a ticket and fine and not in order to prevent drunk people to drive. so the idea is good but the implementation is very bad May be some officers are reading this post and i hope tey will do somethign about it.

מאוד מעניין שרכבים הפכו להיות נושא ויכוח והתנשאות עדתית משני הצדדים. האם לא הגיע הזמן לשים לכך סוף לאחר יותר מ-60 שנות עצמאות ולאחר עשור של המאה ה-21? אני רואה סוגי אנשים רבים שנוסעים באותם רכבים. בנוסף טעם וריח זה משהו אישי וכך גם במוסיקה. חיה ותן לחיות.

אכן נתקלתי בתופעה בזויה זו. הסירחון מתחיל בראש, כלומר בבעלי המוסך שנותנים שרות מסויים אך לא מעמידים את התשומות הנדרשות כגון רכב ונהג. אני הפסקתי לטפל ברכב הקודם שלי (פאסאט) בגלל התנהגות כזו ומסיבות של חוסר מקצועיות. ישנם מוסכים ישרים כך שיש תחליפים נאותים. לצערי המוסכים חושבים שאנחנו מטומטמים אבל אם הם יתחילו להרגיש את זה בכיס אני בטוח שהתופעה תצטצמצם.

אני פשוט חדש בפורום כך שאיו לי הרבה מושג על העבודה הרבה שבטח נעשתה כאן. אך אני רואה שהפוסט האחרון הוא ב-2008. האם יש בכלל שינוי בשנתיים האחרונות והאם ישנה בכלל התקדמות בנושא הספורט המוטורי בישראל או שפשוט כולם הרימו ידיים והנושא מת ואין סיכוי לתקומה?

דרך אגב יש פוסט בשיפורים על נושא זה. שיפור לא יהיה עם הגדלת הקוטר. יותר משמעותי הוא רוחב הצמיג, אבל גם כאן יש עליה וקוץ בה. ולכן לפני השינוי אני מציע שתעיין בפוסט הרלוונטי.

בתור שני אנשים מבוגרים ומנוסים אשמח אם תפסיקו עם ההתנצחויות הלא בוגרות כאן בפורום. מי צודק מי לא צודק, מי אמר מה ומתי ולמה אדם כזה או אחר הוא פופוליסט או לאו. אני חושב שה ערה היא שתהיה תרבות נהיגה טובה יותר, מרוסנת יותר ולכן בטוחה יותר תוך ידע טכני והטמעה רגשית. ההתנצחות שלכם לא תורמת במאום וחבל מכיוון שלשניכם במרום מושבכם וניסיונכם יכולים לתרום למטרה נעלה שתתרום לשימור חיינו וילדינו. ישה, עם כל הכבוד, אור ירוק הפכה לעמותה שמתכסה לסופרלטיבים אך אינה תורמת בצורה טובה למטרה שהיא הוקמה. ניצול של נהגים לצלם כדי להעביר למשטרה ולפרקליטות להגשת כתבי אישום נראית לי פעולה פסולה (ע״ע כתב אישום על סמך וידאו שהועלה ליו טיוב, מה שנשמע הזוי לדעתי). אזרח יכול גם להתעלל בשכנו או ביריבו מסיבות שונות ולא עיניניות וזו מכיוון שכל אחד עשה/עושה/ויעשה עבירת תנועה כזו או אחרת ולא במזיד. האם כל ציבור הנהגים הוא עבריין שדינו קנס, שלילה או כלא? אם זה לגיטימי או לא זוהי שאלה גדולה ורחבה שמהותה אינה נוגעת רק בנהיגה כזו או אמירת זו שאלה של צנעת הפרט ושמירה על פרטיות. ניתן גם להתקין מצלמות או להציב שוטרים בכל פינת רחוב כדי לראות אם חרגת ועברת איזושהי עבירה או תקנה. זה הגיוני? רוני, הויכוח הזה לא ממש עושה עמך חסד. עשית דברים רבים ואפילו במקרים רבים הקדמת את זמנך. אנא המשך בעשייתך המבורכת ונעזור אם נוכל ואם מוצדק אפילו נעמוד מאחוריך כמו במקרה הבג״ץ שהגשת לאחרונה. ורק שיהיה לנו טוב ושפופוליסטים יעזבו את מנשא התחבורה ויתנו לאנשים מקצועיים ואיכפתים לשפר את המצב העגום בו אנו מצויים.

אני חושב שהמטרה המוצהרת של אור ירוק היא מבורכת. אני גם יודע שאבי נאור הוא אדם רציני (היה מנכ״ל אמדוקס למי שכבר שכך) והיא הוקמה ומומנה מכיסו ומרווחיו ועל כך אני מצדיע. אני חושב שהעמותה התנהלה בצורה טובה מאוד כאשר אבי נאור ניהל אותה, מה שאני לא חושב היום תחת השרביט של המנהל הנוכחי. למרות כל זאת, להעביר ביקורת זה קל אבל לעשות מעשה זה כבר קצת יותר קשה. אם היתי במצבו הכלכלי של אבי נאור הייתי מקים עמותה לספורט מוטורי אשר ימרוט על דגלו על חינוך מוטורי שיכלול גם אלמנטים רגשיים (רובנו מיסטר ג׳קיל ומיסטר הייד) וטכניים. המהירות אמנם לא הבעיה הראשונה במעלה לתאונות אבל אין ספק שתאונה במהירות גבוהה גורמת לנזק רב יותר. אם אנחנו ציבור הנהגים היינו קצת יותר טובים בנהיגה אני מניח שמצבנו היה נראה אחרת. כל עוד המצב הנוכחי של לימוד נהיגה בשיטת ארכאיות ובחוסר מקצועיות של היום המצג לא ישתפר ונמשיך לראות עוד אכיפה מטופשת שמטרתה להפחיד ולא ללמד. אולי אור ירוק יעשו חושבים פעם נוספת וישנו את דרכיהם כי היום הם סתם גוף נול למימון או יותר נכון גוף שנותן כסף ומדינה שימשיכו להיכנס לכיס שלנו.

מראה שהבחור להוט לשדרג. העצות שניתנו פה הן מעולות ונכונות אבל לא נראה שהבחור מקשיב ומפנים אלא חושב שכולנו תוקפים. כנראה אין מנוס שיעשה את המעשה ואם מהלך זה היה טעות או לא רק העתיד יאמר לו. קיבלת כאן מגוון דעות ועצות טובות (ישי, אהבתי את תגובתך) שרובן אומרות תזהר ואין צורך למהר. ולכן, בחורצ׳יק, בהצלחה בכל מה שתעשה ותחליט. מי שיהנה מהחלטה נכונה הוא אתה ומי שיאכל קש על החלטה שגויה זה גם אתה. אני יכול לאמר לך שלשמחתי אני הייתי במקום אחר ממך ויכולתי מגיל צעיר להנעת מרכבים חדשים יחסית, אבל היום, אמנם אני בעל אמצעים רבים יותר מעדיף לרכוש רכב משומש ולעבוד עליו שישביע את רצוני ולא לרכוש רכב חדש ולשלם סכומים מטורפים. אל לנו לשכוח שהרכב בארצנו נחשב עדיין למותרות ושכך האוצר טוחן אותנו בכל דרך אפשרית, ממכס של 100% + מעמ, בלו מטורף, אגרות שנתיות, ואתמול פרסמו שיגבירו את מציצת הדם לעובדים המקבלים רכב מהעבודה. כנראה הם שכחו שבזכות הליסינג וחברות ההיטק תעשיית יבוא הרכב גדל פלאים בעשור האחרון והכניס מיסים רבים לקופת המדינה. אבל תמיד ניתן ללחוץ על מכורים לרכב שכמונו. בהצלחה.

Viper My suggestion to you is to talk to Hagay and leon to get more details and ideas what is the best thing to do. They are experts and they could first of all make you a better driver. You can take the time until next year to become a better and safer driver and yet a faste one. So, if you want to control the cat you are driving and have fun but yet to keep your self alive I think this could be the best option for you. Tracks are everywhere just check, plan and go for it. first of all thanks for the information,i really need to check about the weather because i really want to do this in the next 3 months nice that you want to do it but if the tracks are closed and it will be from mid november you can continue to want to be on a track, but not possible. unless you want to go for a trip to Dubai or Kuala Lumpur that has few nice tracks as well. . does the track companies offers to rent a car from them? if they do what are their terms about the insurans? what about the instructor,when i take an instractor what happens with the insurance if i crashed a car or somthing like that? is there a possibility to take there instruction session? how can i contact the track companies? all you can find in the internet. just google the right key words. do you need me to teach you the key words? there is no insurance for the track. if you hit the car you pay. there is a max payment for each car so if you take for example a simple car the max payment will be few thousands of euro, if you take a super car such as GT3 tha you cvan end up paying Euro 80k. if you have the money , MABRUK there are places that gives instructions, butremeber that teir english isnottheir mother tongue and also yours is not. so communication could be difficult especilly when it is bieng done in high speed and you need to be focused on the track and driving an not trying to understand the instructor's accent and lousy English (remeber your English is also lousy and I mean lousy because it is not your mother tongue) so be aware of it. which tracks in europe do you recommend? depends on what you want and your skills. i am sure you can googls race tracks in google and you will find what is available on the date you want and what are th requirements n each track. it looks that you have no experience on tracks so do NOT go to Nurburgring. it is too much for you and thanks again, you really helped me, you really discovered me things that i didnt thought about them and i need to be more carefull about every move that i will take there if its on the public road or on the track you can also in principle rent M3 in Sixt in Germany. if they rent it to 22yo i do not know. you can always check it up in the web siteor just giving a call to the agency in Germany (Shlomo Sixt probably will not give you the info you need) so caaling directly is needed from the questions you ask i think you are a novice, a begginer, so be careful. life is more important than having some fun. you can always have this fun once you are trainned enough and you have few great instructors in Israel who can take you step by step to the right level. every sport is a matter of training and incemental progress. if you did not do anything like that i would even be careful driving fast in the autobahn. showing off is nice, but betting your life is not really smart, but again this is your life so do what you want and good luck

Misterb, looks good. motor sports in the world is a big money making machine. without a track here it will never pick up. if someone can finance to build a track i think it ca be a very nice money making for the whole economy. high quality track can host F1 and other races. if also ministry of finace will agree to reduce the taxes for race cars for track only purpose it could rellay hype. but... hard for me to see in the near future that someone in the ministry of transportation and finance will do something about it. the level of knowledge among the decision makers is to low.

i guess he got a bad quality fuel if it is ove than it is ok and no need to check further . it is of course just a personal opinion

Viper As for the age, if there is a car rental company that agrees to rent it to you than it is fine. financially i am sure you can afford it. As for tracks; most of the tracks are closed from november to April or May due to snow and bad weather conditions, so i think it would be better for you to postpone the trip to next year if you want to go on a track. there are various tracks in Europe, Silvestone in UK, SPA in Belgium, and in holland and so on. check out if they have an open days and what are the eligibility conditions to go on the track. If you want to take the risk to go on such tracks with the car you rent at the regular rent a car company be my guest, but you shoudl know in case of an accident on the track you are not insured. Also the insurance you get on cars you rent near the tracks are insured only for 3rd party. so do not expect to have comprehensive insurace. btw, if you will smash the car you will need to pay for it. for us in the Ring in casde of Clio sport the penatly cou;d be upto Euro8,500. Also I think you should know that if becasue of you, the track will be closed, than you will pay per hour of the closure, if you hit the fence, you will be charged for a new fence, if you spilled oil or fuel or anything that creatres a danger and there is a need to clean the track you will be charged for it. If you smashed your car and it will need to be lifted, than you will be charged for it. All those could be thousands of euros, sp i think you shoudl take that into account. my suggestion to you is if you want to be on a track, take an instructor with you. i do not know what are their policies, but if i were them, i would demand that you will go through a few instruction sessions in Israel and to let them judge if they are willing to take the risk to sit on the navigator seat while you are driving. if the min requyirements will be filled, I am sure they would be pleased to go to this trip with you to improve your driving skills. if you are not skillful enough they would recomend you to continue to improve first vbefore going on the track. this is especially right if you want to go to the ring. Age, it is not real issue, it is a matter of money and car availability. I am sure that you are matured enough to understand that driving fast on a public roads in Israel is very different than driving on the autobahn in Germany and totally different to drive on the track especially on the ring. good luck and have fun
