Elad, that's a very special car you have - to avoid misunderstanding, this is the Cabianca/Scorbati car? I thought I saw it before but I assumed it was a far later car... 5 laps more and they'd have beaten the Frazer-Nash into 10 place. These cars are are doubly exotic to me - I lived in the UK for many years and have been involved with race support on HSCC races, and as you know there are Lotus XIs, Lolas and Coopers ten-a-penny there (well, not quite) but very few OSCAs and/or Abarths, so one can never compare them. What I heard though is you have parts problems with the Italian stuff (unlike the case for Climax or Bristol bits) - I understand Fiat threw away all the "real" Abarth bits when they took over... ? You will have problems with Karroserieteile for sure - this looks like a special Swiss body (the rear). On the other hand, if I'm right, this is a rare vehicle (FCs are rare anyway) so 10G sounds like a fair value... T

The 250 is not the best engine M-B made (4 main bearings, uses lots of petrol), a lot of them get replaced here with 280 engines (one of the best engines ever) but - more importantly, if the body is rusty, unless you are a panel beater, forget it , these are not easy to do. On the plus side, there is a strong scene for them in Germany now and you can get spare parts. Good luck, T

Trucks are: 1. White 920s (?) 2. Scammells (the ones with the the big baloon tires) 3. Marmon-Herrington with Hercules diesel (the road train), same model as the Nairn Brothers trailer bus that . used to run from Damascus to Bagdad. The one in the attachment is a Mack NR, some Kibbutz. T

לרוני שלום, בקשר לדודג', אני יודע למה כוונתך – בכניסה לחדרה (בכביש הישן, במבט דרומה, צד ימין) היה איזה 300 מטר לפני גשר הרכבת מוסך קטן לטרקטורים שעבדתי אצלו בחופש הגדול פעם. היה לו דודג' דומה (ראה תמונה (מהרשת) – לא חושב שהיה הבדל ענק בין הפרגו לדודג') של ח"הא לפירוק, 6X4 עם מנוע בנזין v8 (אך לא סוס – זו היתה "סתם" מיכלית).... גם מנוע Rootes TS3 בעל בוכנות נגדיות (כמו שהיה במשאיות קומר) היה זרוק אצלו. איני זוכר שהיה לאנילביץ אוטוקאר – זכור לי רק הביבר שהיה כמדומני 6X2 ועם גיר וילסון, וכן הסופר וויט שהוסב למנוף. היחיד שאולי ידע הוא שי אבל אין לי קשר עימו כבר שנים רבות... אגב, לאחים אלקלעי מחדרה היתה מסגריה ממול מוסך הטרקטורים הנ"ל וגם אצלם היה וויט מוסב למנוף ו... GMC 1955 עם חרטום קצר שממנו היו מעט מאוד בארץ. הכל נעלם בתהום הנשיה. בברכה גיא
