Hi guys.
To all of you who may not know, I have moved to a town called Kaikoura in the south island of New Zealand.
This town doesnt sees to surprise me.
I Already thought I saw it all when a whale came up to shore two days ago (just behind my house), but then, yesterday, there was a vintage car rally race that went through town.
Old Trimorphs, Holdens, Fords and many more.
There were also a few ford escorts MK1 2 doors, not the agalot we have in Israel, but rather real rallying escorts. You should have herd them.
All the cars flew by, you could hear their engines raw and see the dust clouds they blew up . I couldnt take pictures because I had to work.
Today, after work I heard a train whistle, it sounded like a very very old whistle, just like in the old western movies.
Indeed, to my great surprise, two minuets later an old steam train pulled up in the back of our yard. It stopped in the train station , and this time I went up and took some pictures.
The train came from the north island, crossed on the ferry, and it is making its way down to Dunedin.
When the train stopped In the station, every body came to view it, it was a remarkable site.
The train was filled up with water ( see the hose in the pics) and was loaded with 3 tons of coal!
the train pic's are for Benni and all you other guys who like the old steamers.
