Most of the changes on the '69 are body/interior. The engine is stock with the exception of Webers - USA versions came with SPICA The car is mostly a street legal track car - fiberglass flares for wider tires, fiberglass trunk lid/hood for lighter weight, the interior is bare - just 2 race seats and a rollbar, aluminum dash. It allows it to run at the local "vintage" races - would not be legal for anything too fancy - but for fun locally, it is good. It's a nicely set old car - made to resemble a GTam car. The previous owner did most of the conversion after the car was sideswept on the road by a bus. I just made some small changes for ease of use/driving and enjoy it as a pretty but cheap track car. No one will ever mistake it for a real valuable Alfa - and it will never be invited for a real fancy vintage meet - but that's not what it is supposed to be. - the bodywork on it however was done by someone that knew what he was doing - the flares are very nicely integrated - better than most flares on old GTVs I see The Jr. is pretty much stock - which is very nice as it has a real vintage feel

As a kid in Herzeliya I saw that car as well (a green series 2) and had dreams about it.. I owned a Birkin S3 for 8 years - these cars do get under your skin as a kid - like the Velvet Underground for rock stars...

לפני הרבה שנים היתה לי אלפא ספידר. מ1996 - יש לי מיאטה. אם תשלם לי - לא אחליף את המיאטה בספידר. המיאטה היא המכונית הכי מהנה בכללי שאי פעם היתה לי. זה לא שהספידר לא טובה - אני אוהב אלפות ויש לי אחת כיום (לא ספידר) - אבל המיאטה יותר מהנה. בעבר היתה לי לוטוס 7, כיום יש לי גם אלפא GTV מודל 69 - מכוניות נהדרות - אבל מיאטה מקורית היא קלסיקה אמיתית.

התמונה המקורית מראה שלא נשאר הרבה מקוריות. אישית - אני חושב שזה כיף. למה לא? נחמד.

אם אפשר - 3 שנים אחרי התשובה הראשונה שלי - אני בעלים של מודל ,69 - GTV - ה-1750 אני עדין חושב שה-STEP NOSE הן היפות יותר - אבל מנוע ה-1750 הוא האהוב עלי ביותר.

היתה לי אמי 6 - חוץ מהצורך לתקן אותה כל 15 ק"מ - היתה כף

I might be able to attend the Maryhill Loops Hill Climb* on Sept 29/30 (this one is in Washington state as well)
