i had 2 alfas in my life. in the early 70's, while studying in milano (alfetta 1750) no broblems at all for 2 years of heavy city & autobahn driving. - it was , of course, maintained by alfa's main dealer in milano. then i bought a new 1.8 in israel. never had a happy day, it's a car to be treated by super pros only.- than it's smiles all the way.

some small diesels like punto , saxo , clio , fiesta, - hold a VERY low price and in fact sell for even much lower. are small diesel engines with 250000-300000km very expensive and problematic to maintain ,- is that the reason ?
