well you are at an advantage to me I love working on cars but i didn't have any technical knowledge and am rubbish with my hands A mini is a pefect car to select as its one of the most basic cars to work on and mechanics actually use these to learn the basic principles on in the UK A mini will cost you around 10 to 15 thousand shekels for 10, you should get something that works but needs a lot of work for around 15 you should get something more driveable With regards to costs, the sky is the limit, however, the more you can do yourself over time the less it will cost Mini has over 4 different magazines with components and designs etc so you'll open a world of opportunity and personal taste by selecting this car a major advantage is having another car so you are never under pressure to fix something fast at all costs in order to drive it hope this helps best of luck warren

My Mini is in hertzliya, got a petrol leak in the carb lozan is on holiday till monday, anyone know somewhere in the area that can fix the carb and not overcharge all help appreciated thanks warren

when i was checking what engine you can put in your car, the way to see if it is legal is to check what was imported and sold in Israel for that model therefore, if they sold a 3 litre sierra engine then you can put one of them in your sierra needs approval from the importer) regarding legality of putting a turbo in the current car, from what i heard, as long as the increase of power is no more than 15% then it is legal Yes officer thats an aircon unit, it looks like a turbo but only gives 14.9% extra ooomf (ahem, cough splutter)

Hi going to do a brake conversion on my mini from front drum to discs Rumor has it that being able to brake is a good thing and important to upgrade brakes when increasing bhp The most popular way is by using 8.4" discs and taking the callipers and mounting bracket from a Fiesta and the metro drive felanges does anyone know what other parts are required also, what's falange in hebrew? Have been researching this a lot and the most recommended way to improve power is to upgrade to a 1.3 litre engine Turbo is not recommended, apart from poor reliability, it consists of a difficult job If you pop in a 1.3 engine, you can outbore the block which increases the cc but yoo'll need an expert to do this, and if you find one, let me know The next thing would be to place a stage 1 kit which costs around 165 pounds. Its a new manifold and a free flow exhaust. Bare in mind any exhaust thats bigger than 2" on a mini then you'll loose power. The stage one kit also includes a new needle for a richer flow, which tal mentioned earlier majority of feedback would indicate that a stage one set kit would give you around 12% or more extra power I am running off what i approx at 38bhp, with a 1.3 engine and stage one, that should take me nearer 70bhp There are endless things you can do to make it faster and stronger, but its just a matter of how many shekals you wanna spend, hence the best and most cost effective method is engine upgrade and stage one I am saving up for my new engine
