Greetings
What I am trying to determine, is if the car is imported by a new immigrant/ oleh chadash, how do the tax authorities appraise the value of the car
?
Is most of the value of the car, based on the exterior condition of the paint
?
In other words, if the paint on the car is stripped bare (no paint), will the tax authorities in Israel
substantially reduce the value of the car, and charge less importation taxes
?
In addition, where do the tax authorities obtain the fair market value of the car, if the car is not anywhere in Israel
?
From what I understand, with the 30 year old antique cars that are imported into Israel, the tax authorities use Krause's Old Car Price guide, as a reference
