Firstly i'm the culprit, some of you may want to see me locked up but to all respect to the officer who was very nice to me, and let me go i can help give a few details which were left out.
This passing on a white line happened on a road which is closed to public traffic.
The semi trailer was on one of the steepest hills in beit shemesh going slowly.
He was on the right side of a very wide lane.
There was plenty of room to pass with out leaving the lane.
There was no oncomming traffic going down the hill at all.
there is an exit on the right near teh top of the hill.
Did i do something wrong, absolutly, would i do it again, never.
But i think the officer knew that although on paper it would seem like a serious offence when considering the circumstances of
1) a closed road
2) there is plenty of room for three cars
3) I did go over the line but not completely
4) The trailer was in the right side going up a steep hill
I could understand why The officer allowed me to go.
I am not saying i was right technicaly but under the circumstances i hope you guys understand.
Best wishes
Aron
