New Law for on the spot fines to middle lane hoggers

A new law has been passed in the UK - Holiday makers who plan to drive in the UK be aware that:

 

From today the police are empowered to fine drivers on the spot if they drive in the middle lane of a motorway without being seen to pass a slower vehicle in the inside lane.

 

The reason for this is that according to the authorities in the UK driving in the middle lane for no reason can cause other drivers unnecessary lane changes that can contribute to dangerous situations on the roads.

 

 

I personaly drive on the inside lane of the motorway unless I am passing a slower vehicle, the majority of the UK drivers do the same.

 

Middle lane driving (lane hogging) is common in Israel and the reason I am writing this is to make those planning to go to the UK for a holiday to be aware that they can be fined for driving in the middle lane not for passing purposes.

 

More so it is a serious driving offense to pass a vehicle from the inside (akifa miyemin be-ivrit) and that too must be taken into account when driving in the UK
